April is National Humor Month
April can be one of the most stressful months of the year: taxes are due, the weather is unpredictable, and that is on top of everything else going on in your life. That is why world-renowned humorist Larry Wilde established April as National Humor Month in 1976: to heighten awareness of the idea that the joy and value of laughter can boost morale, improve health, and increase communication skills.
In honor of this month, the Troy Public Library has a display of books, CDs, movies, and audiobooks in the Adult area of the library, just behind the Reference desk. From satirical novels to jokebooks, stand-up comedy to humorous memoirs, and comedy films to mockumentaries, the Library has a variety of rib-ticklers to delight any sense of humor.
Additionally, Troy residents may click here (Library card log in required) to browse the Library's collection of downloadable ebooks and audiobooks sure to make you smile. Check it out and have a laugh on us today!
