Olivia Olson - Posted on

pink lanternsOn the last day of the Obon summer festival in Japan, participants create lanterns inscribed with their own personal drawings and messages.

At the Troy Public Library, we will be honoring this celebration by making lanterns to light up the Library. On Saturday, July 14, stop by the Library Meeting Room from 1-3 pm to create your own paper lantern. Materials will be provided to all registrants, but if you would like to bring your own drawing tools, please feel free.

Registration for this event is appreciated. All teen patrons aged 13-18 are welcome to attend.
