Fall Into Talk Time

Helen Pytiak - Posted on

The Troy Public Library invites you to Talk Time, a Saturday morning conversational group for adults whose native language is not English. The Fall session begins September 8, from 10:15 am to 12 noon, and will run through November 17. Classes take place in the Troy Public Library conference room.

Talk Time provides a relaxed atmosphere for non-native English speakers to practice speaking and listening skills and to improve English vocabulary. Led by volunteers, each session is followed by a tour of the English as a Second Language collection in the Adult Information Services department, where books, audiobooks and other language-learning materials are also available.

Troy's diverse community includes people from every corner of the world. Talk Time is a wonderful opportunity to strenghten English language skills and make new friends. To register, sign up online, call the Library at 248.524.3542, or stop by the Library's Technology Center.
