Learning Express Library (LEL) is free for all Troy residents; simply log in with your valid Troy library card for access to a number of courses on Microsoft Office. From beginner to advanced lessons, LEL has a course for you. The classes are listed under Popular Software Tutorials, on the left hand side of the screen. Simply click on the course in which you are interested, select your version, and start studying!

It may only be the beginning of the school year, but it is never too early to get ahead of the class. Brainfuse is an online tutoring resource for students in grades 3 through 12. Tutors are available seven days a week from 2 - 11pm, and offer live, one-on-one help in a variety of subjects, including math, social studies, science, and English. Brainfuse tutors are qualified to assist students at any level, from brushing up on a subject to in-depth help.

ReferenceUSA, one of the Troy Public Library's electronic sources of consumer and business information, now provides a variety of new features for you.

Among these enhancements are over nine million new business listings, job listings that allow you to search by company name within business profiles, and the ability to search multiple company names.

Another major addition is a resource center offering tutorials, videos, blogs, and webcasts that provide live how-to instruction for users.

The Learning Express Library offers practice and preparation for a wide range of courses and exams for all ages. Need to study for the ACT or SAT? Access the LEL for review courses and practice exams for every subject area covered on the ACT and SAT.

There are basic skill improvement courses for elementary, junior high and high school students. For adults, there are GED and GRE courses; military and U.S. Citizenship exam preparations; and modules for strengthening your computer, internet, personal finance, job-searching and workplace skills.
